Serge Domingie has died

We share the sad news that Serge Domingie, photographer of the renowned Rabatti & Domingie collection, died on July 24th after a short illness.

Based in Florence, Domingie and Marco Rabatti worked together for many years, producing thousands of photographs of great Italian artworks, particularly those of the Florentine Renaissance.

Rabatti and Domingie's reputation for excellence afforded them collaborations with a large number of institutions in Florence, and access to the reserves of many museums, and the trust of many private collectors, as well as documenting the restoration campaigns of Michelangelo's David and the Baptism of Christ by Verrocchio and Leonardo da Vinci. Their friendship, professional partnership and "photographic battles" spanned four decades.
