Siege Warfare
Siege warfare is a tactic developed in the Middle ages that is used in modern war, involving constant assault and a blockade of essential supplies. Sieges today can persist for a long time and can result in the utter devastation of the city before they end.

History of Ukraine
Ukraine is a country with it's own language and customs, and the founding of its capital Kyiv predates Moscow by hundreds of years. Despite this, Russia has historically laid claim to Ukraine, as they continue to do to this day.
