Caravaggio (1571 - 1610)
450th Anniversary of Caravaggio's Birth (29th September 2021)
Caravaggio (born Michelangelo Merisi da Caravaggio) was an Italian painter active in Rome for most of his artistic life.
Caravaggio's paintings combine a realistic observation of the human state, both physical and emotional, with a dramatic use of lighting, which had a formative influence on Italian Baroque painting.

Freddie Mercury: 30th anniversary of his death (24th November 2021)
Freddie Mercury (5th Sept 1946 – 24th Nov 1991) is considered to be one of the greatest singers in the history of Rock and was the lead singer of the equally legendary Rock group 'Queen'.
Freddie Mercury wrote many famous hit songs including - "Killer Queen", "Bohemian Rhapsody", "Somebody to Love", "We Are the Champions", "Don't Stop Me Now", and "Crazy Little Thing Called Love".
Tragically Freddie Mercury died on the 24th Nov 1991 of bronchial pneumonia resulting from AIDS. Freddie is a very much missed and loved figure to this day.
