Featured are original illustrations, the first books and clips from the recent blockbuster movies. You can also see Michael Bonds own original notes, his typewriter and photographs from his life.

200 years since the Coronation of King George IV

19th July 1821

On 19th July 1821, George IV was crowned King of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland and King of Hanover after the death of his father, King George III.

As prince regent, he led an extravagant lifestyle that contributed to the fashions of the era. He was a patron of new forms of leisure, style and taste.

100 years since the Birth of John Glenn

18th July 1921

John Herschel Glenn Jr. 18 July 1921 – 8th December 2016,

John Glenn is primarily remembered as a aviator, astronaut and politician.

After a long career serving his country as a fighter pilot he became the third American in space and the first American to orbit the Earth, circling it three times in 1962.

He served as the Democratic United States Senator for Ohio 1974 to 1999. But in 1998, returned to space again at age 77.

85th anniversary of the Spanish Civil War

17th July 1936 – 1st April 1939

In July 2021, the Spanish people will commemorate the 85th anniversary of the beginning of the Civil War that devastated their country. Violent and traumatic, the Spanish Civil War killed between 380,000 and 450,000 people.

100 Years since Hitler became leader of the NSDAP

29th July 1921

On 29 July 1921 Hitler he was granted absolute power as party chairman, replacing previous chairman Drexler, by a vote of 533 to 1. This was the beginning of Hitler's seemingly unstoppable path to absolute power in Germany.
